P2 · modular furniture

Room to live.
Space to unwind.

A pair of personal bays that come together for rest. A separate rotating-canopy study explores a more private sleeping space, built in sections that can reach the room.

Build around the room

Together, without
becoming inseparable.

P2 starts with two P1-derived personal bays. Couple them for a wider resting space, and keep each module serviceable and independently usable.

01

Smaller pieces. Easier access.

Detachable bays and removable panels make the delivery route part of the design. Joints, flanges and the first hallway turn all count.

02

A personal side.

Each bay keeps its own support geometry. Coupling creates a shared furniture arrangement without pretending the two outside widths are clear mattress width.

03

A second direction.

The transverse couch alternative starts around 30 in deep in couch mode, then expands for sleep. Its final conversion geometry remains open.

Separate habitat canopy study

Privacy that
moves out of the way.

An outer canopy sweeps from the crown to underneath a recessed stationary shell. The sleeping deck stays in place, supported from beyond the moving bay.

A clear path underneath.

No center legs in the canopy sweep. End pedestals, bracing and services stay axially outside the moving bay.

Short modules, full length.

Three nominal 28 in axial sections form the 84 in middle. Quarter-circle sectors and detachable deck panels address transport.

Access remains mechanical.

Captured bogies, guarded tracks, detents, a brake and releases from both sides belong in the mechanism. The first rig is manually driven.

Illustrative 60 in stationary shell, about 56 in clear inner circle. The 48 × 84 in sleep rectangle belongs to this separate canopy proposal. Clearances and loads remain unqualified.

The useful details

A closer look.

Are the paired bays and circular canopy one product?

They are separate proposals. P2 begins with coupled P1-derived bays; the habitat canopy bed has its own circular section, independent frame and access mechanism.

Do two 30-inch bays make a 60-inch mattress?

No. Thirty inches describes an approximate outside module width. Shells, mechanisms and seams reduce the clear sleeping width; that dimension still needs to be established.

How does the canopy reach underneath?

Its larger-radius moving shell rotates around a recessed stationary lower shell. The bed is supported beyond the ends of the moving bay, leaving the underside sweep clear.

Will it fit through a doorway?

The design uses short axial modules and quarter-circle sectors, but the full route must be checked with flanges, hand clearance and hallway turns. A nominal doorway width alone is insufficient.

Is the canopy pressurized?

This is ambient-pressure furniture. A pressure-capable enclosure would need a separately engineered closure, seat, locks and qualification.
